Military Hotel
A new 4-star hotel and officers’ accommodation with a capacity of 1200 rooms is being developed by the UAE military works department. Located in-lands, the facility is to serve officers and their families as well as the public, transient stays, with it’s all supporting amenities, F&B outlets, multi-function halls, family and children’s recreation, parking and support services.
The design competition incorporated various concepts depicted from the military uniforms, colors, ranking and organization. The design also was challenged by cost-effectiveness and modularity of structures to accommodate for last erection and pre-fabrication systems. Massing and elevations were carefully designed to reflect flexibility of design, phasing of construction, as well as local material with traditional themes.
