Khoos Tower
The Khoos Tower, is a ten-storey residential tower with 3-level of podiums. It is located on Yas Island, directly across one of Yas Island’s prime landmark, the Ferrari World.
The project is comprised of residential apartments ranging from 1–2-bedroom units, retail spaces and offices along with public amenities for the tenants’ use. It has a total GFA of 11,415 sq.m. and a total BUA of 17,649 sq.m. The 3-level podium is intended for the parking spaces as well as the retail spaces.
The façade design’s approach was inspired from UAE’s traditional weaving technique known as “khoos.”
Khoos is practiced by both men and women and it involves the weaving or braiding together of date palm fronds to form an object. While the products made serve a functional purpose, the techniques used, and colours chosen provide elements of personal artistry.
