Located at the heart of the Wahat Al Zaweya development in Al Ain, The Souq is a unique reflection of UAE’s culture and heritage. Traditional architecture, arts and crafts shall be integrated into the Souq, characterized by local Emirati culture and authentic Emirati design. The Wahat Al Zaweya Souq accommodates for mixed-used retails, F&B outlets, cultural & heritage activities provided through unique spaces customized to Al Ain region. The Souq is designed in a flexible manner that will cater for the various activities related to regional culture, local habits and lifestyle. The Souq also provides an opportunity for local residents to show-off their local agricultural products supported by the government and subsidized by the authorities in the Eastern region. The unique architecture of the Souq depicts regional elements reflecting old souq, arcades, shaded alleys, massing and outdoor spaces.  Materials and finishes were carefully selected to blend with the surroundings along with the earthy colors of Al Ain sands. When completed, the Souq will offer a unique urban destination between the two large cities of Dubai & Al Ain.
